Registering with the DSS Office |
| The DSS Office encourages students to register with the office as soon as possible. To receive accommodations and services, students must self-identify to the Disability Student Services Office by registering as a student with an obvious or hidden disability. The registration process begins by meeting with the director or assistant director of the office to discuss a student's individual needs. |
| |
Documentation |
| Documentation of each disability must be submitted to the DSS Office in support of any accommodations and services that are being requested. Students are responsible for submitting documentation of their disabilities to the office. Accommodations for disability services can not be provided until proper and complete documentation has been received by the DSS Office. Accommodations are not retroactive. |

Confidentiality |
| Disability related information is considered confidential information and is only released with the written permission of the student. A Consent-To-Release form is available from the office. Students with disabilities are encouraged to share that they have a disability with their academic advisor and instructors. |
