| Students Jeremy Horn, a financial planning and
accounting double major from Almena; Austin Sander, a financial
planning major from Cimarron; and Jeff Zimmer, a financial planning
major from Beloit, represented Fort Hays State University at
the American Express Planning Invitational national competition
in Minneapolis in April 2004. The students spent a tremendous
amount of time preparing for nationals and earned a fifth place
finish in a very close competition. Fort Hays competed with
31 schools from across the nation and were one of only eight
teams to be invited to the final round of competition in Minneapolis.
Other schools making it to the final round were Kansas State
University, Minnesota State University - Mankato, Slippery Rock
University (PA), Texas Tech University, Virginia Tech University,
Western Carolina University, and Wright State University (OH). |
