    As I was going through the CPA testing process, I couldn’t help but think how incredibly lucky I was to have such good teachers and classes at Fort Hays. I felt more prepared than a lot of my peers and found studying to be more of a review than anything. I caught onto and retained everything very easily because I had such a good foundation at FHSU.

    I am responsible for payroll, monthly accounting, research and taxes. The accounting skills I gained at FHSU have helped me to properly execute journal entries and to follow guidelines. At FHSU I was active in Accounting Club and VITA tax preparation. I interned with Simons Tax, Accounting and Financial Services. These activities helped me realize that I wanted to work in the tax field.
