English Club and Lines Journal
The FHSU English Club is an active campus organization
open to all students on the FHSU campus. The purposes of the organization
are to promote interest in literature and writing, encourage discussion
about literature, and sponsor on- and off-campus activities related
to the arts. English Club members participate in service projects,
conduct used book sales, meet to discuss literature, and assist
with FHSU’s Fall English Workshop. They are always open to
new ideas for activities suggested by FHSU students. The English
Club is an excellent opportunity to meet other English students,
to gain insight into the inner workings of the English Department
and the profession of education, and to discuss literature and the
arts.
Students and alumni are also encouraged to submit
their creative work for consideration by the Editorial Board of
Lines from the Middle of Nowhere. The FHSU literary and
arts journal co-sponsored by the English Club and the Student Government
Association, Lines is published annually and is free to all FHSU
students. To learn more information or to get your copy of the 2007
edition, contact Katie Edwards
at cfedwards@scatcat.fhsu.edu. Submissions for the 2008 edition are due by February 15, 2008. The submission form may be downloaded by clicking here. To apply for the 2008 editorial board of Lines, complete this form by October 5, 2007.
