Sigma Tau Delta - Rho Psi Chapter

Rho Psi is the FHSU campus chapter of the International English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta (ΣΤΔ). English majors or minors must have at least achieved sophomore standing, completed one semester's residency at FHSU, completed nine hours of English courses after English 102, and maintained a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.2 GPA in English courses to be accepted as a candidate for initiation. Students pay a one-time membership fee and take the chapter oath. ΣΤΔ offers an opportunity for outstanding English Students to be recognized for their dedication and scholarship.

Each spring during the ΣΤΔ Initiation Tea, elections for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian are held. ΣΤΔ officers and members work closely with the FHSU English Club on service projects, fundraising activities, and having fun! ΣΤΔ members also have the opportunity to take a trip to the National Convention each spring and listen to or present scholarly works.
