SIAS University Study Abroad Experience |

Study for 1 year at SIAS University! SIAS University in XinZheng, China, has committed to providing a $12,000 study abroad program to undergraduate students in the six universities governed by the Kansas Board of Regents.

The $12,000 program cost supports a 1 academic year study abroad experience (30 credits that includes):
~ 7 credits of Chinese language per semester
~ 3 credits of Chinese culture per semester
~ 3 credits of FHSU courses or additional SIAS courses per semester
~ 2 credits of electives (Chinese painting, cooking, folk song and dance, martial arts, etc.)
15 total credit hours - All courses taught in English

The $12,000 Cost Includes:
~Two (2) round trip airfares from the Kansas to Zhengzhou, China
~Tuition & fees for 15 credit hours per semester
~Room, board, & books
~Expenses for eight (8) major field trips (Beijing, Xian, Zhengzhou & Shanghai; other cities in the Henan Province) |

| **A 1 semester $6,000 experience is also available. |
Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students enrolled at a State of Kansas Regents university. Students must have earned a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA (4.0 scale) and be able to pay the $12,000 program cost.
The application deadline to apply for a grant is March 31, 2008.
