Fort Hays State University is seeking to fill the full-time position of .NET Web Developer in the Computing and Telecommunications Center, located in Hays, KS. The developer will be engaged in various projects requiring full performance technical work in complex information systems analysis and web application development in a team environment. This position is supervised by the Manager of New Development.


Duties include the design, creation, and modification of applications software, identification and documentation of application requirements, and coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of programs and procedures. Work may involve several information systems, technologies, or products.

Salary: commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Information Systems or equivalent preferred

Experience in dynamic web application development using .NET/C#, HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, Ajax, and Relational Database Management Systems or similar technologies in a project-based environment

Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle and familiarity with Web-based Applications Security requirements including Payment Card Industry security requirements

Advanced knowledge of applications programming, systems analysis, and/or website conceptualization, design, and development

Understanding of Relational Database Management Systems and Structured Query Language; DB2 and SQL Server experience preferred

Good written and verbal communications skills along with the ability to excel both independently and in a team environment
