Fort Hays State University is seeking a full-time Social Media Coordinator to monitor the university's social media presence, compile a daily log of references to FHSU in the media, generate comments and stories about the university on various media sites, train and assist university personnel in using social media, and stay abreast of new opportunities in social media.The position requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in communication, marketing or a related field. The Coordinator must demonstrate knowledge of marketing and familiarity with a wide variety of social media platforms. Experience, either professional or personal, in producing social media is preferred. The Coordinator must demonstrate good written and oral communication skills and be able to write for multiple platforms. The Coordinator must demonstrate ability to use photography, video and graphics in social media. The Coordinator must be a self-starter and a team player who can train and assist colleagues in using social media.
