The Docking Institute of Public Affairs at Fort Hays State University (FHSU) invites applicants for a part-time position of Survey Center Manager. This position reports to the Director of Docking Institute of Public Affairs.
Duties include assuming responsibility for all operations of the Docking Institute Survey Center. Managing the student interviewers and supervisors. Hiring/training to ensure a full staff of interviewers and supervisors necessary for completing all survey research projects. Making sure all survey work stations are operational. Scheduling, tracking work hours and job performance of student interviewers and supervisors. Monitoring the progress of all survey projects. Downloading samples. Exporting and cleaning data.
Minimum requirements: The Survey Center Manager must possess 1) BA or BS degree; 2) flexible to work evening and weekend hours as needed; 3) management of undergraduate student workers; 4) strong computer skills.
Preferred requirements: 1) familiarity of survey research and questionnaire design; 2) familiar with grant facilitation and strategic planning research; 3) experience in C13 CATI (automated survey software); 4) knowledge of Excel and SPSS (statistical package for social sciences) software.
