Assistant Professor or Instructor of Accounting

Position Announcement

Position Description: Full-time, tenure-track or temporary position

Responsibilities: This is a nine-month, tenure-track or temporary position. The candidate accepted for this position will be expected to teach 12 hours per semester at the undergraduate level in accounting in both lower and upper division courses (may include both on-campus and online courses) and participate in departmental and university activities. The primary teaching areas are financial and managerial accounting.

Qualifications: Prefer a Ph.D. in accounting from an AACSB accredited school or individuals at ABD status who are within one year of completing their degree. Will consider individuals with a Masters degree in accounting who hold a CPA license and have at least three years of relevant professional experience. Preference will also be given to applicants with teaching experience related to U.S. GAAP. The successful candidate must be a U.S. citizen or eligible for employment in the U.S. Final candidate will have consented to and successfully completed a criminal background check. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications.
