The FHSU English as a Second Language Program is seeking part-time instructors for the fall 2013 semester. Classes range from low- to advanced-proficiency levels, and each level offers a variety of skill areas. Candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in English, TESOL, Education, or a closely related field. A minimum of one year teaching experience, instruction of a diverse classroom setting, and the ability to teach a wide range of skills areas at all proficiency levels are also required. Positive and flexible work ethic, sensitivity towards linguistic and cultural diversity, and a friendly as well as outgoing personality are required. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s in English, TESOL, or closely related field, a TESOL certificate/endorsement, experience travelling or living abroad, and at least one year of ESL teaching experience. A cover letter and CV are required and should address experience related to the required and preferred qualifications.
