was seeking approval from faculty senate on the following resolution:
o The book adoption policy of a threee year
period is both antiquated and presently not being enforced
o Any policy to enforce a book adoption policy would deprive the
faculty of hteir rights to academic freedom
o The final decision of adopting a new text book lies with the heads
of each department and the Deans
o Frequent changes in text books does increase the cost of higher
education for college students
The three-year book adoption policy was abolished
