Financial Assistance Office

As a parent or guardian of a student entering college, you can play a helpful role in navigating the financial aid application process. Knowing the resources available to help pay for post-secondary expenses and the steps of the financial aid application process are keys to a smooth process.

Financial Aid Basics
Learn about the factors considered in determining your student's federal aid award: Cost of Attendance, Expected Family Contribution, and Financial Need.

Types of Financial Aid
Your student may be eligible for different types of financial aid, including grants, scholarships, loans, workstudy, or military education benefits. Deadlines, eligibility requirements and selection criteria vary by program.

Process of Applying for Aid
In order to qualify for financial aid, your student must apply! Many programs have limited funding, so it is extremely important to complete the FAFSA early each year (as soon after January 1 as possible, but before our March 1 priority deadline).
