Perkins Loans

The Perkins Loan is a loan in which FHSU serves as the lender. There is no interest on the Perkins Loan while the student is in school. During repayment, the loan has a fixed interest rate of 5%.

Eligibility Requirements:

Complete the FAFSA for the year in which you intend to receive aid.
Be a degree-seeking student through FHSU.
Be enrolled as at least a half-time student.
Demonstrate need, based on Cost of Attendance (COA) and Expected Family Contribution (EFC).

Repayment on this loan begins nine months after graduation or dropping below half-time.For more information on the Perkins Loan, you can visit the Perkins Loan web site
