Crescent Community
The Crescent Post Office was established on May
27, 1892, in the W. H. Hargadine home amidst a thriving community
known as the Bethel/Crescent community. It already had a school
and a church. The post office was discontinued on September 14,
1905.
The names of Bethel and Crescent were both used
to call this community located in the west central section of
the county.
The ethnicity of its settlers is unknown.
