Lewis
Situated on land that was purchased
by the Lewis family in January 1882, Lewis was a latecomer to
the county. Jane W. Lewis had the northwest quarter of her land
conveyed to the Lewis Town Company, and the section was platted
on May 22, 1886.
The ethnicity of its settlers is not
known.
