Olmitz
Peter Brack, his brothers and their
mother, along with a number of native Austrians, located here
and began the task of forming a settlement. The town was laid
out in 1885 and became the trading center for Austrians who settled
there. The Missouri Pacific railroad had tracks that ran through
the town which is located 10 miles west of Hoisington.
