Services
Foster Grandparents volunteer in
schools, hospitals, correctional institutions, Head Start
programs, preschool and day care centers, public libraries,
and homes for unwed mothers, or whereever there are children
with special and/or exceptional need. They serve in public,
nonprofit, or religiously sponsored institutions.
They help children up to 21 years
of age who have been abused or neglected, tutor and/or mentor
children, troubled teenagers and young mothers, and care for
premature infants.
The heart of the Foster Grandparent
Program is the one-on-one daily attention that a Foster Grandparent
provides, helping young people grow, gain confidence, and
become more full and productive members of society.
