Annual Campaigns

Annual giving at FHSU involves specific events, campaigns and direct mailings that we conduct every year to raise funds for the university.

More than $1 million in annual gifts contribute to: fulfilling student scholarship requirements; providing academic departments with resources; creating an exciting campus life for athletics, entertainment, recreation, technology and student life; and investing in the maintenance of its 106-year-old campus.

There are three major annual giving campaigns that facilitate fundraising at set times of the school year to support needs in all of these areas. Tiger Call, a 30-year tradition, is a telephone campaign where current students and faculty members volunteer their time in an attempt to reach all living graduates of the university to seek donations for scholarships.

The faculty and staff at FHSU are asked to support the university during the winter Campus Drive campaign. Participation by those employed at the university is a statement of their commitment to the mission of the university.

The Hays area Community Drive, held in the spring, solicits support from local businesses and community members, who realize the importance of the partnership that the community and FHSU share.

“Making Change at FHSU” is the theme for Annual Giving this year. Change can be thought of as something that you have in your pocket or at the bottom of your purse. In another sense, change is also what provides each Fort Hays State student an improved education in terms of academics, technology, campus surroundings, multicultural opportunities, and much more.

The success of annual giving can be attributed to the spirit of shared experience and mutual encouragement among all generations of Tigers, which is essential to Fort Hays State University’s continued excellence.
