Student callers will attempt to reach about 40,000 Tiger alumni during the 32nd annual Tiger Call phonathon. Calling will take place from September 13 to December 3, 2009 and then again during the 2010 spring semester. The phonathon provides an opportunity for graduates to hear of changes on campus and to recall favorite memories, while getting to know a current Tiger student. The callers will ask graduates for an update to any contact information that has changed so that the university is able to share news and publications with alumni for years to come. In addition, Tiger Call serves as the primary fundraiser for FHSU scholarships and provides financial assistance for academic departments and athletics. In 2008 - 2009, more than $471,000 was raised.
