Moss-Thorns Gallery of Art
Rarick Hall is named after Clarence E. Rarick, president from 1934 to 1941. It was completed in the spring of 1981. Students take many of their general education classes in this building.

On the main floor is FHSU's Art Department with various labs for ceramics, printmaking, graphic design, etc. The Macintosh-based art lab is where students learn to integrate photography, video and other media into their presentations. The art lab is part of the best graphic design school in the state and has received many awards.

On the second floor are our College of Education which contains Teacher Education and Educational Administration and Counseling. In addition it houses the Instructional Resource Center which provides a lab with hardware, software, and other resources for education majors.

Although the College of Arts and Sciences office is on the first floor, many of its departmental offices can be found on the third floor:  English, Modern Languages, History, Mathematics and Computer Science, Philosophy, Political Science and Justice Studies, and Sociology and Social Work.
