First Year Experience (FYE)
Tiger STRIPES: Freshman Pre-Enrollment Agenda

Each Tiger STRIPES day is filled with information and opportunities to get ready to attend FHSU. After you pre-register for the date of your selection, you will receive a confirmation letter with specific times and locations. On the date of your Pre-Enrollment, you will experience the following:

  • Registration and Residential Life confirmation
  • Opening session: welcome and overview of the day’s events
  • Meeting with your department to learn about expectations, academic program requirements, and typical class schedules
  • Using TigerEnroll to select fall classes, with the help of a faculty member and Orientation Assistants
  • Learning more about banking services, the University Bookstore, Financial Aid, and campus technology
  • Getting your Tiger Card
  • Meeting other members of the freshman class and learning from a current FHSU student

Mom, Dad, or other parental types are also welcome to attend. They will attend the opening session with you, then will split off into a separate parent program. Parents and guardians will learn information that parents typically want to know, by selecting the sessions they want to attend, like:

  • Campus Involvement

A sibling orientation track program will be available on the April 26, May 3, June 2 and June 9 days for siblings in elementary and middle school.

At the end of the day, your parents will reconnect with you to make sure everything is finalized before you hit the Bookstore to get some new Tiger gear!
