Be sure to click the submit button when taking the quiz.  If you leave your computer for a certain time you may get booted off the log-on.  If you do you will not be able to retake the quiz.  Let me know if you are totally locked out and I will reset your quiz - - do this by e-mailing me and I'll attend to it as soon as I can.  I may not be able to do this immediately if I'm not at my PC.  Be patient.

Bring your text book to class. You must read material before class. I will refer to certain figures or tables throughout the lecture. Further, you are expected to study the "Chapter Summary", " Important Terms" sections, as well as study the"Review Questions" at the end of each chapter prior to each exam. Geology in-the-news [local, national, or international] will also be a focus. Lecture and text material is emphasized for all tests. Pre-exam study sheet link provide below - print these sheets of and bring to class.  Do not depend on another individuals' notes.  The more you attend class and 1) listen, 2) observe, and 3) write things down, the better you will do on the exams and thus in the course.  Lastly, if you expect respect be sure to give it.

Please, turn off cell phones during class.  If you must have one active, set it on vibrate.

Education is not received, it is achieved.

I will do my best to guide and help you through this class however you must do your best to help yourself.
