Student Scholarly Activities
U.S. Conference Travel Program
Purpose:
This program supports U.S. conference attendance of undergraduate
and graduate students engaged in faculty-mentored scholarly activities.
To be eligible, a student must have his/her scholarly work accepted
for presentation at a professional conference. The grant program
will provide up to $250 per student presenter on a reimbursement
basis.
Application:
To apply, the faculty mentor must submit an application
form AND a copy of the conference agenda and/or letter from
conference organizers to the student accepting the student as a
presenter.
Deadlines:
September 15 (for Fall) and February 1
(for Spring)
Procedure:
Only complete applications will be considered. Successful applicants
will be notified in writing by the OSSP Coordinator approximately
10 days after the deadline. A grant account will be established
in the student’s name and the student will be responsible
for providing travel receipts for reimbursement from this account.
Students receiving grants will be required to submit a 1-page report
on the conference to the OSSP Coordinator within 2 weeks of the
conference.
