Summary of University Policies for Seeking
External Sources of Support from Federal and Other Agencies
1. To insure maximum efficiency and coordination
in fundraising efforts, the university requires that there should
be no solicitation of gifts or grants from any outside source
by any component of the university other than through the established
procedures outlined here.
2. The policies and procedures described
in this handbook apply to individual, departmental, office, and
institutional grants.
3. All proposed research that involves
collaboration with other not-for-profit or for-profit institutions
is subject to the procedures outlined here. The details of grant
administration will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
4. All requests and proposals that
involve the soliciting of external funds from federal and state
agencies require the approval of the College Dean, Graduate Dean,
Provost, and the Vice President for Administration and Finance.
