Mission Statement

Our Mission

The Grants Office furthers the mission of FHSU teaching, services, and scholarly and creative activities by facilitating increased access to external funding sources. The Grants Office works with faculty, staff, and administration to create and implement a long-term vision for funding research and activities, and assists with building a comprehensive pre-award program to meet the current and future needs of FHSU.

About Us

Grant funding and grant related activities benefit Fort Hays State University in many ways. In addition to the valuable resources that may be attained when grants are funded, grant activities are beneficial by enhancing research, teaching, and service to the university community.

The Grants Office is located in the Graduate School and provides support for Fort Hays State University grant writing activities. Technical assistance, required forms, grant resources, copies of grants, funding information, and helpful guides are available in the Grants Office.

The Grants Facilitator assists faculty and staff who are interested in seeking external funding. Many services are available to enhance effective grant seeking. The Grants Facilitator assists with funding source research, proposal development, reviews, and provides individual and group technical assistance.
