Welcome!
Fraternity and Sorority life has a long tradition at Fort Hays State University with the first chapters coming to campus in the 1920s. We currently have 8 chapters (4 fraternities and 4 sororities) each with their own unique culture and traditions.

The benefits of joining a fraternity or sorority are endless! Students who join a fraternity or sorority are welcomed into a new social environment that fosters lifetime friendships. Fraternity and sorority members’ GPA routinely ranks higher than the all-campus average. Members are exposed to new ideas and activities that will help them grow personally and professionally. Members have access to numerous leadership opportunities that will help prepare them for life after college. Fraternity and Sorority members are some of the most active groups on campus and in the community, completing over 1,700 hours of community service, and raised over $5,000 for different philanthropies in the last year.
I am excited to have the opportunity to work with each chapter and each member to make their experience and the Fort Hays State University experience better. Fraternity and Sorority members play a key role in the Homecoming celebrations, the Back to School Panic, the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, the Tiger Bonfire, Greek Week, and many more campus-wide events.
