| At
Fort Hays State University there are two National Panhellenic
Conference sororities: Alpha Gamma Delta and Delta Zeta.
Panhellenic Council is the governing body of the sororities,
representatives from each chapter serve as officers on a rotation
basis. All sorority members are Panhellenic members and encouraged
to attend the regular meetings.
Each sorority has its own chapter
house walking distance from campus. Members are encouraged to live
in the chapter house; rent varies per chapter but is comparable
to the residence halls. Freshmen members may be exempted from the
residence halls to live in sorority housing.
At the beginning of the fall
semester Panhellenic sponsors Recruitment activities. This
allows women interested in joining a sorority or learning more
about Greek Life the opportunity to visit each chapter house,
meet members and learn about various programs and activities
offered. For more information about Recruitment please
contact the Center for Student Involvement, 785-628-4664.
