Fort Hays State University > About FHSU > Academic Divisions > College of Health and Life Sciences > Department of Health and Human Performance > Aquacise
Splash your way to a
healthy lifestyle through the Aquacise program. Strengthen your muscles,
increase your flexibility, and improve your cardiovascular health with three one-hour
sessions each week. The resistance of the water helps you build muscle tone,
and gentle motions gradually improve your range of motion. This low-impact
exercise can help you get in shape without excess strain on your body.
FHSU’s indoor pool keeps
you exercising in comfort all year, rain or shine. The water continually cools
your body while you work out, keeping you from getting sweaty and overheated.
Moderate class sizes create a community atmosphere, allowing you to develop friendships
with your classmates and motivating you to stick with your exercise routine.
Aquacise classes are held
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. You will get the most benefit from attending all
three sessions, or you can combine Aquacise with the Personal Fitness program.
With the energy you will gain, you will feel ready to take on the world.
