International Education Week
International Education Week promotes exchanges worldwide and highlights the benefits of international education. Being involved in this influential week will prepare students and fellow Americans for a global environment and a better understanding of studies in other countries. Here is a list of things that will be going on throughout the week: Reading at story time and craft actives to children at Tiger Tot's, Classroom presentations in Hays area schools, and presentations of exchange programs will even take place in FHSU classrooms! Also keep in mind that there will be a National & International Exchange information bulletin boat in Forsyth Library and flags of represented countries hanging in the Memorial Union.
Monday, November12:
- International Education Week Proclamation will take place in Dreiling Lobby, Sheridan Hall at 9:00 a.m.
- Internationalization of Campus and the Curriculum- Dr. Tim Crowley will also be in Stouffer Lounge of the Memorial Union from 12:30-1:30 p.m. *Lunch will be provided to the first 40 in attendance*
Tuesday, November 13:
- Faculty Led Study Abroad-Max Maximov in the Pioneer Room of the Memorial Union from 11:30-12:30 p.m. *Lunch will be provided to the first 40 attendance*
- Tertulia-Enjoy speaking Spanish with fellow students in Rarick Hall 395 at 1:30 p.m. This will be led by Native Spanish speakers
- China Summer Study Abroad Presentation at 6:00 p.m. in the Pioneer Room of the Memorial Union. Come and join the three FHSU students who participated in this program an dear about their experiences.
Thursday, November 15:
- First Year Experience for International Students- Carol Solko-Olliff & Karen McCullough will present in the Tiger's Den of Custer Hall from 11:30-12:30 p.m. *Lunch will be provided to the first 40 in attendance*
- International Student Exchange Program (ISEP)/ National Student Exchange (NSE) Info. meeting held in Stouffer Lounge of the Memorial Union at 3:30 p.m.
- Kafeestunde- Socialize, chat, and listen to German native speakers in the Memorial Union behind Starbucks at 4 p.m.
- China Talk will also occur at 7:30 p.m. in the Memorial Union.
