SWIPE Out Hunger
On October 13, FHSU students
and faculty, along with Hays community members gathered in Forsyth Library to
package meals that were sent to the starving in the horn of Africa. SWIPE Out
Hunger is a state-wide food packaging event that is meant to raise awareness
during the month of October, sponsored by the Organization Numana Inc. FHSU
proudly packaged 98,526 meals in just 3 hours Saturday morning, surpassing the
University of Kansas at 97,416 meals packaged from last year. Check out the
linked video produced by FHSU student Becca Kohl who is the Tigers in Service
co-director.
