| Personal: | Ben Peeler is not your ordinary Graduate Student. Having lived most of his life with the remote and little-known Urecka tribe of Northern Argentina, Ben brings a different kind of perspective to the History Department. His parents were daring explorers, trying to find the perfect recipe for Argentine BBQ Sauce when their duel engine plane crashed in the plains of Northern Argentina, killing them both and leaving their son stranded in the harsh elements of central South America. At the age of five, Ben had to fight day and night for survival until he was adopted by the Urecka tribe four years later. After leaving South America, due to having been considered too manly to continue with the tribe, he went back to the US to his parent's home state of Kansas where he began to attend Fort Hays State University.
