The graduate program in history leading to the Master of Arts degree
extends the range and depth of the students' knowledge of history
and further refines their research and writing skills. The objectives
of the program are to:
- Lay the foundations for doctoral studies.
- Prepare students to teach in the community college environment.
- Provide advanced study for those interested in careers in Public History.
- Enhance professional competency for secondary teachers.
- Provide students with the necessary skills for careers in business and government.
The MA program consists of 30 hours beyond the BA leading to a Master of Arts degree.
