Why did you decide to attend FHSU? I have lived in Hays all my life,
and I was familiar with the university and the strong education department from a
young age. I love being close to my family (and pets!). The competitive tuition
and multiple scholarship and leadership opportunities are wonderful!
What is your favorite aspect of DSP? I enjoy creating bonds with
other DSPers. All of us have unique majors, and without DSP we most likely would
not have gotten to know and support each other.
How has DSP positively shaped your experience at FHSU? DSP has
allowed me to bring the leadership potential I have always possessed to the surface
and given me the courage to take active leadership positions in several groups on
campus. I have stepped outside of my comfort zone and become more acquainted with the
university, faculty, and staff as well.
What piece of advice would you give to new students? In the grand
scheme of life, college is a small sliver. However, it is easy to get stressed out
and bogged down by school, projects and homework, work, social time, organizations, etc.
Do not commit to too much. Enjoy yourself. You know how much you can handle; no one else
What five adjectives describe you best? Funny, organized, determined,
animal-lover, and empathetic.
