Job Description

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for application software quality assurance (testing) of all applications developed by the department.  The incumbent will provide application specific testing, support, guidance, advice, assistance and ensure follow-up on all products and issues related to CLS projects.  This position will self manage and troubleshoot resolutions for specific code-related and procedural problems and inquiries.  The Quality Assurance Analyst works directly with internal and external clients to support Contract Land Staff's mission, vision and values of commitment, leadership and service with little of no supervision.  This position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.

    1.  Responsible for accurate internal application test planning, writing, execution, issue tracking, issue resolution and communication of related status.
    2.  Responsible for effectively communication and tracking issues discovered during testing and working directly with application developers towards issue resolutions.
    3.  Responsible for efficiently communicating test status, risks, mitigations and assessments to co-workers and management.
    4.  Proven ability to become an application expert, independently testing software applications and supporting internal /  external customers in a professional manner.
    5.  Responsible for thoroughly researching issues prior to escalating to management for assistance.
    6.  Work with other members of the department to understand user issues and develop solutions both as bug fixes and enhancements. 
    7.  Utilize SQL to query data and research issues in relational databases.
    8.  Provide end-user technical support and troubleshooting.
    1.  Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related preferred.
    2.  Prefer 1 or more years of experience completing software quality assurance testing tasks
    3.  Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and self manage multiple project tasks
    4.  Ability to work in extremely dynamic and fast paced team environment with aggressive schedules.
    5.  Some working knowledge of Microsoft products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
    6.  Experience testing ASP.NET, Adobe Flex, and Silver LIght applications is preferred
