Part-time MIS 101 Adjunct Instructor

The Department of Informatics is looking for part-time adjunct instructors to teach online sections of MIS 101. Applicants should have a MBA or Graduate Degree in a related discipline.

They should also possess a combination of the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge of basic technology concepts (software, hardware, social media, networks, internet, operating systems, privacy issues, copyright, legal issues, etc.)
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office (various versions)
  • Ability to develop and schedule lesson plans and assignments
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Capability to communicate extensively electronically (email, Skype, etc.)
  • Ability to use LMS (BlackBoard) and course development tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve to assist students with technology problems
  • Knowledge of technology resources available to faculty of FHSU
  • Task-oriented and ability to meet deadlines (graded work, reports, etc.)
