Interns selected will have the opportunity to learn and experience the duties, responsibilities and opportunities of IT professionals at se2 in the Topeka office in the Applications Development and Infrastructure areas, by working in an environment with leading edge technology and agile methodologies.

Environment:
- VB.Net 4.0, Visual Studio 2010, Umbraco CMS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML/XSLT, SQL Se object oriented programming, JavaScript, & SQL/Oracle
Duties could include:
- Experience with Microsoft .Net Architecture & SQL Server
- Serving as a Team member of a development group using Extreme Programming techniques or an Infrastructure group working with web design, applications development or working in Infrastructure with computer hardware, networking, help desk-related duties.
Applications areas:
- Participating in the Agile/SCRUM methodology process
- Assisting with testing support through the use of automated tools
- Support data validation and review of interface outputs
- Generate reports through Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
Infrastructure Area:
- Assist Staff Help Desk in Phone Queue
- Assist with initial triage of Help Desk requests, escalating as appropriate
- Assist with hardware builds or replacements
Qualifications:
- Fulltime students status with college major and/or coursework in Information Technology and/or Computer Science with knowledge of infrastructure or applications development functions. Also strong math/analytical skills.
- Good PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Independent, accurate, and detail-oriented work habits required with strong organizational skills and the ability to exhibit initiative.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment needed.
- Ability to provide quality work efficiently in a team setting desired, interacting effectively with others with strong interpersonal skills and team attitude.
Internship will be full-time hours for the period June through August, 2013.
