Capstone projects are culminating projects that demonstrate the accumulated knowledge and abilities of INT seniors. Each spring, seniors complete projects in INT 490 Capstone in INT.
Advanced Technology Student Organization (ATSO)
- Open to all students interested in Networking, Web Development,
and/or technology in general.
- Trips are taken to tour businesses and so far the group has been to Kansas City,
Denver, and Dallas.
- ATSO does a variety of service projects and fund raisers.
- Meetings are held on Wednesdays at 5:00pm in the INT labs located in Picken Hall.

National Broadcast Society (NBS)
- Mostly comprised of Media Studies students but - open to any FHSU student interested in media.
- Both regional and national conventions held annually give the opportunity to meet other students and media professionals.
- Both regional and national competitions give members the opportunity to submit their media projects.
- Attend KAB (Kansas Association of Broadcasters) conventions.

- KFHS Broadcast Council
- The KFHS Broadcast Council is the over arching student organization that operates KFHS Radio and Television. Any FHSU student interested in electronic media, new media, media production, or broadcasting may belong.
KFHS Radio
KFHS Radio is the FHSU student radio station. It is staffed and operated by students and is open to students from across campus. The radio station plays music programed for and by students. KFHS Television
KFHS Television is a fully functional television station that provides activities and professional level experiences for students. It provides relevant programming for the Fort Hays State University community. KFHS Television can be viewed on Channel 13 on the Hays Eagle Cable System and streams live over the Internet. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The INT Department strongly encourages its students to become involved in extracurricular activities to strengthen their college education and experience. The department is proud of students who are not only excelling in the classroom, but are also competing and serving in leadership roles in other activities, such as NCAA athletics, Student Government, and a wide variety of student and community organizations.
By taking the American College Test (ACT) incoming freshmen could be eligible for one of three university scholarship programs that are based solely on the student's highest composite ACT score (or comparable SAT score). Information on the University Gold Academic Award, and Fort Hays Bronze Academic Award and other scholarships is available through:

The Department of Information Networking and Telecommunications offers the following scholarships to eligible students:
The Jack and Peggy Heather Scholarship-- Recipients must have been majoring in information networking and telecommunications at least 2 semesters and have a 2.5 cumulative GPA, a 3.0 GPA in the major. Transfer students studying in a comparable area are eligible with the same criteria in their first semester.
The Kansas Press Women Scholarship--Available to a college senior majoring in information networking and telecommunications or print journalism. It is based on need and ability.
The Kansas Association of Broadcasters Scholarship--Available to a student enrolled in a state or private institution of higher education currently majoring in a media-related field. It is based on academic standing.
AT&T Foundation Scholarships--Available for incoming students majoring in Telecommunications/Networking or Web Development. These scholarships are designed to assist students with outstanding academic capabilities and financial need.
H. Keith and Esther Megill Scholarship Fund -- Recommendation and selection made by the Department of Information Networking and Telecommunications Scholarship committee.
