Begin a remarkable journey by becoming a Friendship Family Program Family!

The Friendship Family Program is a community based family visitation program not a home-stay hosting program. Students attend classes at Fort Hays State University and are responsible for their own accommodations. Friendship Family members are friends with their students just as they are friends with others.

Who can become a Family?
Individuals, students, married couples, and families are all encouraged to become Friendship Family Program Families. Community members of all ages are encouraged to participate in the Friendship Family Program.

Some of the reward and benefits of being a FFP family include:
	~You and your family will meet people from other parts of the world and learn about their culture.
	~Teach others about life in the United States and our culture. See the U.S. through different eyes.
	~Help students living far from home to adjust to life in a new country.
	~"Travel" while staying at home.
	~Gain a new friend!!

How do I get started?
First, we will need you to complete an application for the program. Once we have received your application, the matching process will begin. Matching of families and students are completed during the first few weeks of each semester. You will be notified when you have been matched. You, as the family, should initiate contact with your student soon after your assignment.

Select the email form button located at the top of the form. This will allow you to either email it back to us directly or it will allow you to save the form on your computer and email it to us as an attachment. 2. Select the print form button located at the top of the form. This will allow you to print the form. You can then either bring it to our office, Sheridan Hall 208 or mail it to us: International Student Services Office, FHSU, 600 Park St., Hays, KS 67601
