Financial Assistance
 
Due to limited availability of financial resources, international students are expected to have
the funds needed to cover their educational and living expenses. On-campus employment is
available for most students as long as they are in status. Highly qualified candidates may
obtain scholarships and assistantship funding after their intial attendance at FHSU. Cost
details shown below are only estimates and are subject to change.

Tuition & fees: Two semesters @ 15 credit hours each semester for undergraduate students is
$10,638.00. Graduate tuition & fees for two semesters @ 9 credit hours each semester is $7,452.00. (Fees are for the 2007-2008 academic year. Fees are subject to change each academic year.)

Living expenses: Nine months in a double occupancy room with an open access meal plan is $6,011.00 for both graduate & undergraduate students in the residence hall for the 2007-2008
academic year. There is a one time application fee of $35.00.

Medical insurance: All international students are required to have health insurance. If you have
health insurance through your home country and it meets the minimum requirements of FHSU,
you do not need to purchase FHSU's health insurance package. You will need to bring proof of
insurance to the Office of International Student Services in Sheridan Hall 208. If you do not have
health insurance through your home country, you will need to buy health insurance through FHSU.
The cost to undergraduate students is $979.00 for the year and for graduate students the cost is $920.00

Books & supplies: An estimated cost for undergraduate students is $700 and for graduate
students the estimated cost is $700.

Academic & living expenses for summer term: For undergraduate & graduate students an
estimated cost for summer is $3,000.00

Optional costs: Spouse maintance is estimated at $3,000 & child maintance is estimated
at $2,000.
