Welcome to FHSU!
The Office of International Student Services (OISS) welcomes
you to Fort Hays State University. We are happy that you have
decided to join our university community. Out of a total enrollment
of around 4,400 students, approximately 240 come from abroad.
Representing about 26 different countries around the world,
our international students play an integral role in the intellectual
and cultural life of our campus.
OISS is here to help you during your time at FHSU while advising
you in issues related to your legal status. The office provides
chances to meet and build friendships with US families and
students and to promote cross-cultural exchanges through a
variety of programs.
This information is designed to help you prepare for your
