General Checklist
- Learn about FHSU and Hays
- Obtain your visa and passport
- get your plane ticket and arrange for transportation to
Hays - See Pre-Arrival Handbook for more information
- Apply for on-campus housing as soon as possible at Student
Residential Life website

Document Checklist
- Bring valid passport with appropriate visa
- Bring I-20 (F-1 students) or DS-2019 (J-1 students)
- Bring proof of finances and SEVIS fee receipt
- If necessary, bring and international driver's license
and English translations of birth certificate

Health Checklist
- Have a medical examination and bring documentation of
health exam and an immunization/vaccine record
- Complete other medical check-ups. Have your eyes and teeth
checked and any necessary treatment completed
- Bring adequate supply of ant medication in original packaging
with the written prescription

| After you arrive, before you
enroll |

- Check-in with the Office of Internaitonal Student Services
in Sheridan Hall 208 and bring your I-20 or DS-2019, passport,
and I-94 card to be copied
- Attend mandatory orientation
- Complete TB skin test process
- Complete all Student Health Center forms
- Obtain your Tiger ID card
- Complete housing contract

- Enroll in classes with academic advisor
- Pay tuition and fees
- Pay for group health insurance (if you have your own health
insurance, you must provide proof to the International Office
and it must meet FHSU requirements)
- Purchase textbooks
