English as a Second Language

The FHSU Intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) program is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences. This program is available for undergraduate and graduate international students as a conditional program for remedial training. Please contact Mehran Shahidi for more information about this program. The organizational summary for the FHSU intensive ESL program indicates course numbers and sequence corresponding to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR).

The Department of Communication Disorders also supports ESL activities at FHSU by providing courses in accent modification. Please contact Marla Staab for more information about the courses available.
