Global Competencies 3.0

Students may apply for admission to the university's Global Competencies minor. Admitted students who successfully complete the program will earn a transcript entry of "Global Competencies" below their major. There is no application fee.

Eligibility and Admission

1. Students must have declared a disciplinary major.
2. Students must have earned 12 undergraduate credit hours.
3. Students must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
4. Students must have completed LDRS 120 Issues in Leadership – Seven Revolutions with a grade of C or better.

Completion

Students admitted into this program must maintain a 2.5 GPA in the program courses. Students who do not maintain a 2.5 GPA in the program courses will not receive the program transcript designation.

I. Business

LDRS 120: Issues in Leadership - Seven Revolutions - 3 credits

Two courses - 6 credits - selected from:
• ECFI 644 International Economics
• ECFI 645 International Finance
• MGT 606 International Business
• MKT 606 International Marketing
• MGT 620 Principles and Practices in Tourism & Hospitality Management
• BCOM 400 Global Business Communication

Study abroad experiences or foreign language courses (or combination thereof) - 10 credits
Note: Students pursuing B.A. degrees must complete this area with study abroad experiences.

Project, senior thesis, or public presentation 1-2 credits

II. Healthcare
