The Campus Intramurals & Recreation Department at Fort Hays State University strives to provided a broad, competitive variety of physical and social activities designed to meet the diverse needs and interests of the students, faculty, and staff of FHSU.Participants have an opportunity to choose from various team and individual activities. The program offers equal opportunity for participation to both sexes, regardless of their ability or skills. Sportsmanship is vital to every Intramural Sports contest. The Intramurals department demands desirable attitudes, good sportsmanship, and a high standard of cooperation. Officials, program supervisors, teammates, and opponents all deserve each others' respect and courteous behavior. Players must recognize that these are not varsity sports. There are no professional coaches and officials. Intramural games will be what participants make of them. You will get out as much as you put in. The Intramurals Department also provides students with the opportunity of decision making and leadership roles as officials, student manages, and council members.
