CJET Mission Statement

The mission of the Center for Criminal Justice Education & Training is to aid and assist the rural criminal justice infrastructure located in Fort Hays State University's primary service district of central and western Kansas. CJET serves as a catalyst for education, research, and training through products and services offered to local, regional and state criminal justice agencies in the State of Kansas.

Objective

The Center for Criminal Justice Education & Training operates in a symbiotic fashion, with the Justice Studies Program of Fort Hays State University serving as a core contributor to the Center, and vise versa. This synergy represents the expansion of the mission and scope of the Justice Studies Program at Fort Hays State University. The Center integrates the academic course delivery elements of the program with the functional elements of products and services, involving both academic and non-academic activities.
