Andria L. Cooper serves as Assistant Professor of Justice Studies at Fort Hays State University. She began her career as a county prosecutor, serving several years as Assistant Ellis County Attorney in Hays, KS. Her experience included the prosecution of domestic and sexual violence, drug violations and person/property crimes. She currently researches in the area of victimology, victim advocacy, criminal and civil law and has been published in a variety of outlets. Professor Cooper currently serves as the faculty sponsor for Delta Tau Omega, the FHSU student chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association-Lambda Alpha Epsilon. She continues to consult and practice as an attorney. Her undergraduate and graduate areas of study are in sociology and law.
