The majority of our on-campus students matriculate as first-time freshman or transfer students from community colleges around the state of Kansas. This younger generation of student is interested in the broad fields of law enforcement, corrections, and courts for purposes of gainful employment in the human/social services upon graduation.
The majority of our distance education students are adult learners, going back to school to finish or start a degree for purposes of upward mobility (job attainment, transferability, salary increase, promotion, etc.). A number of our distance education students are already criminal justice practitioners and military veterans employed at the local, state, or federal level.
Through AQIP and the Kansas Board of Regents Performance Initiatives System, FHSU-Justice Studies is committed to increasing diversity and opportunities for everyone to come together as lifelong learners in criminal justice studies!
