Academic Credit for Practitioner Training

The Justice Studies Program at FHSU does not award academic credit for life experience. Professional development training, however, will be subject to consideration at the discretion of the department chair . No more than 6 academic credit hours may be awarded to any student entering the program with an extensive training background. Verifiable coursework documented through academy or in-service training certificates will be mandatory in determining awarded credit hours. For awarded credit, students will be required to pay tuition but will not be required to conduct coursework. Training will be transferred in as lower-division coursework through JUS 100: Workshops in Justice Studies.
