Signs of Alcohol Poisoning: How to
Help a Friend
If the person is unconscious, try to wake them. If
they do not respond, there may be a serious problem.
Listen to the person’s breathing. If it is irregular
or too shallow, the person may be in distress.
Check the person's skin. Is it bluish? Cold? Or Clammy?
Take
Action!
If you discover any of the above situations, call
911 if you are off campus or 9-911 if you use an on-campus phone.
Stay with the person while you wait for help.
Make sure the person is lying on his or her
side to prevent choking. |
